The launch of the Littleborough Arts Festival Brochure will take place on Saturday 1st October - From 10-12 at Littleborough Co-op.

’Art Exhibition  Coach House, Lodge St

Our well-loved, long standing event.  Free Entry to the art exhibition.  Over 100 pieces of art will be on sale.  Have a good walk around, there’s something for everyone at the exhibition.  Unfortunately ,this year’s Photographic competition - ‘Secret Littleborough’ has been cancelled due to the low volume of entries.  We will consult the community about how we can do this better next year.  Please watch the website for details.

Poetry Open Mic session with Rochdale Poet Robin Parker, the Red Lion, Halifax Road, OL15 OHL. Starts 7.30pm. Free Event.

Thursday 20th October 2016

St Barnabas Concert, St Barnabas Church, St Barnabas Drive, OL15 8EJ.  This year’s concert will be performed by Project Jam Sandwich, who are a folk-fusion-world music quintet from Manchester, who add virtuosity and creativity to folk music from around the globe.  An exhilarating blend of rhythms and melodies influenced by folk, world and jazz result in an explosion of high energy performance which will have you on your feet by the end!  Tickets £7 available at Littleborough Coach House, Framework or by clicking the Eventbrite link here.  Check out their website.

The Lantern Parade Plans are progressing for the inaugural event which will be organised by Community Artist, Jo Gornall, in collaboration with Can’t Dance Can and Oakenhoof . Jo has 18 years experience of setting up and running a wide variety of participatory Arts and celebrations projects/parades/workshops throughout the North West, both within schools and the wider community. www.phinefibre.co.uk  http://cantdancecan.co.uk/  http://cloggin.co.uk/content/littleborough-oakenhoof-cloggers  Local primary schools will be taking part but adults can join in as well, come along to the workshop on Saturday 15th October 2pm – 4pm and make a lantern then take part in the Lantern Parade on Friday 21st October. Places are limited, suitable for adults and children 8yrs old and over. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. The workshop is free on production of a festival ticket, which you can purchase on the day, but you must reserve a place via Eventbrite. Update! - Please see video footage of the event below.

Art and Craft Market

Art & Craft Fair to be held in Littleborough Coach House upstairs in the HARVEY ROOM 10-4 (admission FREE).  Entertainment by Littleborough Brass Band from 12 o’clock. This year we are also hosting a Meet the Author event with local author Denise Greenwood and art and craft demonstrations.  Artists and Crafters - If you would like to book a table please complete a booking form There will be an opportunity to contribute to a piece of community art with the Community Crafters, details to be confirmed.
